 Full Year Competitive Team Overview

The South Side Elite FC Competitive program is set up to provide children as young as eight years old the proper training to propel them into a possible Private High School or College scholarship. In today's athletics, Colleges are looking at players as early as ten years old and watching likely prospects throughout their youth competitive soccer careers. Each College scout can look at each player's profile through Gotsoccer.com and various databases to see if the player has been in a competitive soccer program and for how many years. This can be a deciding factor in whether to propose an athletic scholarship or not. Our Competitive Youth Travel teams play in a level 4 or higher and move up from season to season, depending on team developmental needs.

South Side Elite FC believes the younger the athlete starts training (Under 8) in a competitive setting, the higher chances of the player receiving a scholarship.

Players that do not play year-round develop slower than players that play year-round.

The year-long Competitive program is three parts, Fall, Winter, and Spring Seasons

Fall Competitive Travel Season:

The Fall Outdoor Season will start in September and run until November.

Like the Spring season, the Fall travel season will be a 6 to 8-game season, four games at home and four games away.

Boys Teams Compete in YSSL

Girls Teams Compete in IWSL

Both Sanctioned by Illinois Youth Soccer 

Games will take place on Saturday &/or Sundays (For Boys & Girls) of each week.

Practices will be 2 to 4 times per week (Depending on Age Group).

*Competitive Fall Tournament:

U8 and older teams will compete in a local or out-of-state Fall tournament.

Winter Holiday Break:

(1/2 of November and All of December, depending on age group)

 *Winter Travel Season (Naperville or Westmont Yard):

The Winter season is an 8-week season.

Teams practice indoors once per week.

Indoor League games will be held at a Chicagoland area indoor Facility.

Games will be played indoors on Friday,  Saturday, or Sunday of each week.

(Depending on league and facility)

The Season runs from January to April.

Spring Travel Season:

The Spring season runs from April to June.

The Spring season will consist of a 6 to 8-game travel season.

BASIC UNIFORM COST: $200
